When I was little I bit into what I thought was a chocolate chip cookie…I immediately realized I made a huge mistake and I’ve despised oatmeal raisin cookies ever since.
However, I am currently still on a so-called “diet” and to make myself feel better about cookies I’ve decided to make oatmeal raisin with whole wheat flour, flax, and raisins instead of chocolate chips. Hey… at least I tried. 🤷🏽♀️
I’m still undecided about these guys but everyone else seems to love them. They’re soft and chewy and raisin-y if you like that sort of thing.
The recipe I based my cookies off of is here:
If you don’t care about whole wheat flour and flax, I’d just follow the recipe on that link.
Otherwise, the only change I made with my cookies was using 1cup (-2 TBSP) of whole wheat flour and 2 TBSP flax seed mill.
The blog makes a mighty good suggestion of trying chocolate covered raisins so I may try that one day. Also, I’d like to try this recipe with dried blueberries in place of raisins.
